Business Vocabulary in Use mini review

I don’t like the General English ‘Vocabulary in Use’ books much, but this is much better- in fact it is much better than the incredibly successful ‘Grammar in Use’ books. This is because, unlike those books, it makes good use of pictures and colour, and presents much of the language in the context of short texts and realistic-looking dialogues. It also makes a good attempt at adding free production to the mix by having an ‘Over to you’ section that encourages students to talk or write. It is still much more suitable for self-study than class work, but it is the only vocabulary book I can imagine suggesting a business student works their way through. It is especially useful for someone that has yet to start work or decide which sector they will be working in.
