Grammar- linking words, especially although and however

Functional language for asking for repetition and explanation of things you don’t understand in the exam, e.g. “Could you explain that in other words?” and pronunciation practice of sentence stress, weak forms and linking of sounds between words for these sentences

Grammar- preposition collocations revision and extension

2 FebVocabulary of family and friends (colleague, acquaintance etc.) and IELTS speaking on that and previous topics

Functional language for beginning and ending different parts of the exam “I’m going to speak about…”, “that’s all I can think of to say about that” etc. and pronunciation practice of sentence stress, weak forms and linking of sounds between words for these sentences

Grammar- longer, more complex sentences like relative clauses

9 FebVocabulary of work and studies (graduate, qualifications, certificate etc.) and IELTS speaking with that and previous topics

Functional language for questions you just can’t answer or find very difficult (”I’ve never really thought about that before”, “I don’t really have an opinion on that” etc.)

Accuracy- spelling rules such as the Magic E, doubled letters in –ing forms etc.

Grammar/ accuracy- editing skills, esp. common spelling mistakes
