Really, shocked myself recently that I still find interesting enough stuff to get my mobile out for a snap more than once a week even after 4 years here. If it carries on like this, there’s a danger I might buy a camera!
The mysterious (or cute, depending on your point of view, gender and/ or nationality) elephant or mammoth above has been springing up across my local area of Tokyo over the last year or more. Must be an art student with too much time on their hands (they have even less to do than the art students back home), but can certainly liven up an otherwise unexceptional walk in a Japanese park whatever and whoever it is. More (and better) comments on Japanese parks on An Englishman in Osaka, who also has the last word on the fingerprinting and photographing of foreigners coming into Japan.
